New Year’s partygoers ushered-in 2008 at midnight all across Georgia. Officials in Atlanta estimate thousands of people converged on the city’s Underground Atlanta entertainment district to watch the Peach Drop, which was in its 19th year. The annual event draws visitors from across the southeast.
