The Braves open a homestand tonight against the two teams ahead of them in the NL-East standings. In first are the New York Mets, who lead the division by 4-and-a-half games on the Braves. Tim Hudson gets the pitching start tonight against the Mets--he's going for a 16th win on his record. The Mets enter Atlanta riding a 5-game losing skid.

The Yellow Jackets are on the road for their opener, in South Bend, Indiana to face Notre Dame at 3:30. Geeorgia Southern opens their season next weekend.
