A federal grand jury in Rome has charged a northwest Georgia police chief with possessing stolen firearms and lying to federal agents. Polk County Police Chief Billy Wills Jr. is accused of knowingly possessing and concealing two stolen firearms. The indictment said Wills lied to federal agents during two separate interviews concerning whether he received the guns without following his department's policies for the disposition of evidence and other property.
