Governor Sonny Perdue signed a measure into law Wednesday that bans the sale of marijuana-flavored candy to children—it goes into effect statewide July 1st. The measure intends to target businesses that sell the candy to minors--products with names such as “Kronic Kandy” and “Pot Suckers”. It calls for a fine of up to 500-dollars for each offense. A national organization that promotes use of hemp products says Georgia would be the first state to ban the sale of such candy to minors.
