Delta Airlines is set to drop one of its regional partners for poor on-time performance.
Officials with Atlanta-based Delta say Pinnacle Airlines has fallen below minimum performance levels, and will end its contract on July 31st. Pinnacle has only been a partner with Delta since last December.
Officials with Memphis-based Pinnacle call the move "wrongful" that it would be kicked aside as a connection partner. The regional carrier says its on-time performance has been affected by factors out of their control.
Pinnacle says there will be no effect to its schedule, routes, or employees. The carrier says it does plan to pursue "appropriate remedies".
