Star high school quarterback dies

The starting quarterback of the Brookwood High School football team in Lawrenceville-Ga---has died. Daniel Peek succumbed to his injuries last night from a weekend car crash near Snellville. Peek had been in intensive care since the wreck. Police say alcohol and speed were factors in the single-vehicle crash late Saturday night, and that Peek was not wearing a seat belt.
