The Atlanta Falcons this morning secured the #3 pick for this April's NFL Draft. In a coin flip this morning to settle a tiebreaker scenario with the Oakland Raiders, the Falcons called "tails" and it fell their way. The team will select third behind the top pick of Miami, and St. Louis going second.
Georgia Tech was scheduled to play a men's basketball game last night against Virginia in Atlanta--it didn't happen. The game at Tech's home arena was "rained out". With heavy rains last night, a leak developed in the roof, producing standing water near one of the goals on the floor. It's the first postponment due to rain in history of the Tech program. Tech and Virginia officials are working to try and reschedule the contest.
