SCANA Energy has settled its dispute with Georgia's Public Service Commission over its variable-rate plans. The company agreed to give credits worth 1.25 million dollars to customers. The PSC investigated both SCANA and Georgia Natural Gas after some customers said they were misled and charged a higher amount than others for a standard variable-rate plan.
Georgia Natural Gas had agreed in March to give credits to affected customers--SCANA at the time rejected the settlement, saying state rules were not violated. Each of SCANA's affected customers would get credits up to 25 dollars.
