The city of Athens wants to keep a closer eye on bouncers who screen bar patrons. Yesterday the a county advisory panel approved stricter requirements for people who check ID’s at the door. It means the county could screen doormen’s criminal records before issuing them a permit to check ID’s. The goal is to prevent underage drinking.
