In Georgia business news … Atlanta-based Internet service provider EarthLink is cutting 900 jobs. That’s half of its workforce. The company also says in addition to closing four offices around the country, it will quote “substantially reduce its presence” in Atlanta. EarthLink says it must restructure because it’s struggling to attract dial-up customers who want high-speed alternatives.
