Officials are taking steps to deport a Mexican teenager who is jailed in Gwinnett County for refusing treatment for tuberculosis. Gwinnett’s sheriff says 17-year-old Francisco Santos admits he in the country illegally. Santos has been in jail since last week when he refused treatment for an active, contagious case of tuberculosis and threatened to return to Mexico. Santos -- who lives in Duluth -- has since started taking medicine.
