Two more children are being treated in the hospital for bacterial meningitis after attending a summer camp near Savannah with a child who has the disease.
Initial tests did not detect the meningitis, but health officials say the children were taking antibiotics and that could have affected the results.
The Chatham County Health Department has notified parents of 270 campers and 30 camp counselors.
The YMCA, which hosted the camp, has been distributing a free two-day dose of antibiotics to people who attended the camp last week.
