HB 470 - Final Passage in House and Senate

The bill, known as the "Georgia Lemon Law," was passed in the Senate with a House amendment. The bill would to require a manufacturer to repair, replace, or repurchase the "lemon." The window of opportunity for the owner of the vehicle is two years after the date of the original purchase or the first 24,000 miles of operation, whichever occurs first. It also states that a consumer can not try for civil action until certain prerequisites have been met.
