A federal appeals court has upheld Cobb County’s practice of allowing prayer before public meetings. Cobb County allows clergy of all faith to deliver prayers. However, lawyers for the American Civil Liberties Union says “overtly Christian prayers” send a message that religion is sponsored by the county.
