The Georgia Department of Labor will offer as many as 80 summer internships to college sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students will gain professional work experience, school credit and as much as $1,400, working 25 hours a week for seven weeks. Applicants must submit an application and a one-page essay answering the question: Why do you think internships are important? Applications are available at any labor department office.
