Delta, Northwest: A Step Closer to One

Nearly 40-thousand employees of Northwest Airlines will soon log on to the internet using email accounts from Delta. A spokesperson for Delta says it's a sign the two airlines is moving forward to become one. Atlanta-based delta acquired northwest last October to create the world's biggest airline operator. The company quickly reached joint labor agreements among pilots of the two airlines and seniority pacts between several smaller employee groups. But flight attendants and ground workers have yet to resolve issues involving joint representation, seniority and contract issues.
