Bethlehem popular for postmark

Hundreds of people are flocking to Bethlehem, Georgia to mark the holiday. The post office in the small Barrow County city is offering a special postmark during the Christmas season. People go there to mail their holiday cards and letters. The postmark shows a picture of trumpeting angels. Last year, the post office crew postmarked more than 130,000 letters, cards and packages between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The staff usually serves the shipping needs of the just over 1,000 people who live in Bethlehem.

Hunt for phony sheriff's deputy

Authorities are looking for a man posing as a Walton County sheriff's deputy. A woman says the suspect pulled her over Tuesday evening in neighboring Barrow County in northeast Georgia. Police say the man was driving a black Ford Taurus when he pulled the woman over on Georgia 11 in Bethlehem. Authorities say the man asked for the woman's driver's license, Social Security card and a credit card, then drove off.
