Georgia’s e-government ranks second in the nation. Two years ago, Georgia ranked 38th in the Brookings Institution’s 2008 report on State and Federal Electronic Government. The study evaluated an average of 30 agency web sites for each state. It compared features such as online services, publications and databases; multimedia offerings; foreign-language translation and disability access; privacy and security factors; and contact information.

Survey: Georgia is e-friendly
A national survey says Georgia’s on-line presence has improved dramatically in the last year. Brown University’s report on e-government for 2007 ranks Georgia 13th in the nation. That’s up 25 places from last year. The study looked at an average of 30 sites for each state, including sites for court offices, major state agencies, and elected officials. Our state’s government website is Georgia.gov.
