A trial date is set in the case of a comic book store owner accused of giving a book with a lewd image to a minor. Gordon Lee, owner of Legend Comics in Rome, is charged with distribution of harmful materials to minors. The Rome News-Tribune reports he will face a jury August 13th. Police say in 2004, one of Lee’s employees gave a child a graphic novel that included a nude picture of the artist Pablo Picasso. Members of the comic book community are coming to Lee’s defense and have already fronted $80,000 towards his case.
