Georgia set to raise gas tax

Georgia’s about to raise its gas tax. Later today, officials will post the new rate that will take effect July 1^st.

In Georgia, the price of every gallon includes about 18 cents in state taxes and 18 cents in federal taxes, plus a local tax that varies from county to county.

According to AAA, the average gas price in the state is currently $3.93.
